Life is full of Surprises!

A Little About Me

About

Natasha

From an initiative to an idea

My art journey began in 2015. At the time I was seeking to launch an inspirational website and needed a graphic artist to help me with the artwork. Soon after, frustration set in, as my ideas didn’t translate into the art I wanted. After some discussions with my graphic artist, he suggested I create the art myself. At first I laughed, thinking what an absurd idea, but then thought ‘Why not!’ Once photoshop was installed on my computer – I was hooked.

From the World and into the Creative

I have always been a very creative person, but unbeknownst to me, life had its own creative direction. As I set off on my course, anything creative faded into the background and my entrepreneurial spirit flourished instead. But after many of years of worldly pursuits (business, media and publishing), the
desire to be more creative returned. My Creative Path had officially begun.

I have to say, being self taught has its perks. You move at your own pace, your creativity has the space to organically flourish, you allow the inner artist to guide and lead. You learn to go with the flow, the more you flow, the more inspiration pours through. I learned to create only when inspired,
and not through force. When inspiration hits, magic happens.

Life and Time are Good Teachers

So with that, over several years, Photoshop became my brush and the computer screen my canvas, where I experimented, honed, created and expressed my brand of mixed media art - bold, vibrant, colorful, with whimsical and magical elements to inspire joy, positivity & happiness.

By the time 2019 rolled around, I felt ready to put some of my Artistic work out there, and with the support of friends and family, decided that Etsy was the perfect platform to do so. It thrilled me that people loved the artwork offered in the shop such as junk journals, greeting cards, wall prints. The positive feedback from buyers only encouraged and gave me the confidence to keep creating and being creative.

Looking Forward

As I continue on this journey, I'm excited to explore new avenues and possibilities. Whether through my artwork, or licensing, my goal remains the same: to inspire joy, positivity, and happiness, to bring beauty to life and home.

I can't wait to see where Creativity leads me next.
